About Chip Kern, MS LCP

Chip holds state and national licenses in clinical counseling. He is an experienced mental health provider and clinical supervisor to counselors in training. Since 2008, Chip has been working with individuals and couples to resolve deeply personal and vulnerable issues that manifest in depression, anxiety, addiction, post-traumatic stress, and couple’s connection issues. Chip holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston University and a master’s degree from Montana State University in Mental Health Counseling. Since graduating, he has received advanced training in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Post Traumatic Stress Counseling, Inner Healing, and Narrative Focused Trauma.

Joe Booth is the Former Founder of Class Five Mind (acquired by Oberit in 2022) and currently serves as Practice Director of Become. Joe is also the author of From the River: A Guidebook to Sobriety from a Lifetime of Lessons Paddling. Joe holds a BA in Psychology and has spent the past 20 years studying the fields of motivation, adult learning, peak performance, and behavioral psychology. He combined the knowledge from these subjects to reconstruct himself from living out of his truck, into a top performer with billion-dollar software companies in Silicon Valley.

Through his own journey of finding a balanced life free from addiction, Joe has gained insight into the many challenges busy professionals face to live a healthy life and maintain sobriety.
